Stuck in Your Head?

Have you noticed how your best ideas don’t come when you’re trying to think really hard at your desk?
Instead, they sneak up on you in the shower… or on a walk… or halfway through a movement session.
It’s not just coincidence. It’s how your brain works.
When we move, especially in varied, new, or flowing ways, we’re not just training our bodies. We’re lighting up different parts of our brain. Areas responsible for memory, learning, focus, and creativity and problem-solving.
And if you need to solve problems, come up with ideas, or think clearly under pressure, at work and in life, this is gold.
In fact, a 2014 Stanford University study found that walking can increase creative thinking by up to 60% and the effect even lingers after you stop. And when you layer in things like changes in tempo, direction, or body position (like crawling, rolling, spiralling, or even just stretching differently), you get an even bigger mental shift.
It’s like giving your brain a fresh perspective without the mental strain.
That’s one of the things I love most about the way we move in Mybod in Motion.
There’s structure, strength, and flow but there’s also play and variety to shake up your brain too. People often tell me they come out of a session feeling clearer, lighter, and more focused. And it’s not just the endorphins. It’s the neural rewiring happening under the hood.
So if you’ve been feeling a bit stuck, mentally foggy, or creatively flat lately…
Try moving differently. Even 5 minutes can shift things.
